Over 2,000 athletes from Canada and around the world swam, bike and ran in the Ironman 70.3 at Elk Lake just outside of Victoria, B.C. Shawn Wilyman of Regina, Sk, was the first over the line at just over 04:09:11. Melanie McQuade of Victoria, BC, was the first Pro-Female to finish at 4:24:50.
