Ronald McDonald skis at Whistler Mountain in BC during the McDonalds Rail Session at the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival.Handout

Just a few weeks left before skiers and boarders have to go back into summer hibernation, but you can send off the snowy season in style at the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival, a huge Whistler event that comes with live music, fashion, and other snowy fun.

Ski and snowboard fans can catch some of the world's best competitors as they vie for big prizes at events including The Shred Show and Big Air, while fuzzy critters compete at Mascot Mayhem, and pooches take part in the Whistler Dogfest.

The 10-day event also comes with late-night parties, a filmmaker showdown, a Pecha Kucha night, and a silent disco.

But things really heat up at free outdoor concerts by high-profile acts including Swollen Members, the Cat Empire, the Beautiful Girls, Michael Franti, the Sheepdogs and more, who will help the powder-loving revellers forget that the spring melt is right around the corner.

The Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival is in Whistler until April 22. For more info, visit wssf.com.
