The name of the ninth victim killed in a highway crash in Oregon involving a Vancouver tour bus company has been released by Oregon State Police.
Nineteen-year-old Richard Sohn of Bellevue, Wash., died when the bus smashed through a barrier and flipped end over end, landing in a snowy embankment off Interstate 84 east of Pendleton, Ore.
A 55-year-old man from Maple Ridge, B.C., was the only Canadian killed in the Dec. 30 crash, while most of the other victims were from Washington state and Korea.
Nine passengers died, and eight of the 38 people who were injured are still being treated in hospital.
On Monday, two Korean exchange students who survived the crash filed a civil lawsuit in a Tacoma, Wash., court.
The suit against Mi Joo Tour and Travel Ltd. claimed the bus driver was tired, speeding and ignored warnings of poor road conditions.
