A lodge run by a northern B.C. First Nation has devised a novel way to discourage grizzly hunting this spring: Offer hunters a free guided bear-viewing tour if they agree to lay down their weapons. While some say bear hunting should be allowed if the population count is considered high, many First Nations have enacted bans on bear hunting in their territories.
