RCMP say the shooting death of a 27-year-old man in Surrey, B.C. Saturday night appears to be targeted and gang related.

Police say a man wearing a balaclava approached a black car and sprayed gunfire at three men who were nearby. Local television reports indicate one of those injured was a 15-year-old male.

Sgt. Jennifer Pound says Stephen Leone was rushed by ambulance to hospital, where he later died.

She says two other men made their own way to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and they've since been released.

Police were called to the scene in the area of King George Highway and 100th Street around 8:20 p.m.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case.
