One man has died but four other CN workers are okay after an industrial accident at a remote CN Rail yard in northeastern B.C.

RCMP confirm the victim died when a fuel tanker car derailed and rolled on him.

The incident happened just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, but it took rescue workers some time to reach the site, which is about 180 kilometres north of Fort St. John and only accessible by rail.

The coroners' office, Mounties, Transportation Safety Board and several other agencies are investigating the deadly derailment.
