An unruly passenger was taken off a WestJet flight in Kelowna, B.C. Sunday.

A Westjet spokesman says the incident occurred when the Toronto-to-Vancouver flight was on the ground.

He says the plane was diverted to Kelowna because of weather problems in Vancouver.

Kelowna International Airport spokeswoman Jenelle Hynes says the passenger refused to sit in his seat and wouldn't stop shouting when he thought his money had been stolen.

She says Mounties took the man off the plane and interviewed him.

She says the man's luggage was searched and he was allowed to book another flight out of town.

It's not know if there will be any charges.
