Dale Rolland Alexander is a high-risk sex offender serving a long term supervision order following a nine-year sentence for sexual assault causing bodily harm, kidnapping and uttering threats.

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued after the disappearance of a man considered by Vancouver police to be a high-risk sex offender.

Constable Brian Montague says 41-year-old Dale Alexander failed to return to his halfway house in Vancouver as required under the conditions of his long-term supervision order.

Montague says Alexander has a lengthy and violent criminal history and officers believe he poses a high risk to reoffend sexually.

He had been released into the community after serving a nine-year sentence for sexual assault causing bodily harm, kidnapping and uttering threats.

Alexander, who wears glasses and had recently shaved his head, is described as six feet tall, 195 pounds with a fair complexion and blue eyes.

Anyone who sees him is cautioned not to approach and to call 911 immediately.
