Enough 'charity mugging'
You’re in a rush, hurrying down the sidewalk, when you spot them. Maybe if you don’t make eye contact or pretend to be on the phone, you can evade them. But no, that never works, “Have you got a moment for the Humane Society?” People soliciting for a good cause on the street seem to be everywhere, and Britain has had enough. Dozens of communities are enacting rules to limit or prevent “charity mugging.”
