Provincial police in Northwestern Ontario say two young boys are safe after allegedly being abducted in Alberta.
Police in Dryden, Ont., say they received a report from Edmonton police that a father had allegedly kidnapped his sons – aged 3 and 4 – and was headed to Toronto.
Investigators say officers pulled over a car late Tuesday afternoon arrested 29-year-old Ilhami Butin of Toronto.
Butin is to appear in Dryden court on Wednesday charged with two counts of child abduction, two counts of kidnapping and uttering threats.
Police say both boys are unharmed.
