A WestJet flight bound for Edmonton from Halifax was diverted to Saskatoon on Saturday morning following an unspecified threat.

A WestJet spokesman says he can't confirm the nature of the threat against flight 391 because the incident is being investigated by police.

Robert Palmer say there were 147 passengers and a crew of six aboard the Boeing 737-800 that was diverted at around 9:30 a.m. CST.

WestJet says the passengers and crew left the plane after it arrived in Saskatoon and were provided with food and water while police investigated.
