The life's work of the five Killam Prize winners to be announced Tuesday morning is wide-ranging to say the least, from drug advances combatting HIV/AIDS to the philosophy of interpretation. The lucrative awards from the Canada Council for the Arts are among Canada's most prestigious for researchers in humanities, engineering and various sciences, rewarding each with $100,000 for their outstanding achievement.
