First thing

Live Music

Give your ears a weekend to remember with concerts for every taste, including breathtaking Remembrance Day shows by Vancouver men's choir Chor Leoni (chorleoni.org), unforgettable dance music by Montreal's DJ Champion (djchampion.net), International Guitar Night in Whistler featuring Django descendant Lulo Reinhardt and others (internationalguitarnight.com), Grammy-winning hit maker David Foster (ticketmaster.ca), veteran singer Neil Sedaka (riverrock.com), mandolin master John Reischman (capilanou.ca/theatre), celebrated Canadian pianist Angela Cheng with the VSO (vancouversymphony.ca), and many more.

Want a little dance with your song? Try A Chorus Line (achorusline.com) or High School Musical 2 (centennialtheatre.com) - and don't miss celebrated London dance company Hofesh Shechter at the Playhouse (ticketmaster.ca).

2

Fashion Week

Check out the latest duds by fashion veterans and up-and-comers alike at Vancouver Fashion Week, which includes a kids' showcase and an international design competition (vanfashionweek.com). For more eye candy, find new works by local painter Nick Lepard at the Diane Farris Gallery (dianefarrisgallery.com), and pick up art that won't break the bank at the Vancouver Art Guild Show (tomorrow, vancouverartguild.com).

3

Antique Expo

Take a step back in time and find vintage fine art, furniture, art deco, sculptures, rare books, figurines and more at the Best of the West Antique Expo in Abbotsford (fvtradex.com). Then leave those doilies and grandfather clocks behind and warm up your weekend at the Taboo Naughty But Nice Sex Show, featuring seminars, live entertainment and a wide array of puzzling gadgets (taboosexshow.com).

4

Asian Film Festival

Catch top features, documentaries and shorts by North American filmmakers of Asian descent at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival (vaff.org).

For a different view on Asian culture, drop by the Museum of Anthropology, where you'll find five Tibetan monks creating a sand mandala in the Great Hall, and answering visitors' questions about Tibetan life and practice (until Nov. 15, moa.ubc.ca).

5

Royal Garden

You can catch a royal glimpse at the VanDusen Botanical Garden, where Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, will be on hand for a stroll and a tree-planting ceremony (today, vandusen.org). Then take a scenic gondola ride up Grouse Mountain, and enjoy food and wine pairings while rubbing elbows with local luminaries - all for charity (wineonthemountain2009.eventbrite.com).
