Hundreds of friends, family and well-wishers turned out in the cold to pay their respects to the two young children allegedly slain by their father.

The viewing for three-year-old Anne-Sophie Turcotte and her five-year-old brother Olivier Turcotte took place yesterday in Montreal, with some mourners lining up outside for almost an hour to enter the funeral home.

The bodies of the two siblings were found by police Feb. 21 in the family home in Piedmont.

Their father, Guy Turcotte, has been charged with first-degree murder.
