Hunt still on for cougar that attacked boy Add to ...

A provincial park remained closed yesterday as conservation officers looked for a cougar that attacked a seven-year-old boy on the weekend.

The boy was walking through Pinnacles Provincial Park, near Quesnel, more than 600 kilometres north of Vancouver with his mother and younger brother when a cougar attacked him.

The mother intervened, and the cougar fled. The boy suffered wounds that required a few stitches.
