Police tapeJOHN LEHMANN

A London, Ont., man made a shocking discovery when he left his house for work on Tuesday morning and found an abandoned baby at the end of his neighbour's driveway.

The incident happened around 5:40 a.m. as Anthony Franze was leaving his home and heard a noise he thought was a cat.

Franze said he looked to where the crying was coming from and saw a baby in a car seat at the bottom of his neighbour's driveway.

The baby was dressed in pyjamas and had a blanket, but Franze says its hands and face were exposed to the cold morning air.

He says he brought the child, who seemed to be about three months old, into his home and his fiancée called 911.

Paramedics and police arrived quickly at the scene to assess the situation.
