A medical evacuation plane is out of service in a remote northern Manitoba community after someone broke in the hangar and emptied a fire extinguisher in it.

Mounties in Oxford House First Nation say emergency bags were also stolen in the break-in Wednesday morning.

RCMP say the bags contained medications that if used incorrectly could result in a health emergency.
