Oldest known Canadian dies at age 113 Add to ...

Cora Hansen, an Alberta resident who was believed to be the oldest woman in Canada, passed away in a retirement home on Wednesday.

Ms. Hansen was originally from Minnesota but moved to Alberta in 1912. She and her husband, Richard, lived in Jenner until he retired.

Premier Alison Redford helped Ms. Hansen celebrate her 113th birthday earlier this year at the Valley View Retirement Community.
