Ontario Provincial Police say an investigation continues into human remains found late last week at a provincial park north of Elliot Lake.

Forensic pathology has confirmed that a human foot was found last Friday at Mississagi Provincial Park.

Police say an underwater search and recovery unit is continuing the search at the park 22 kilometres north of Elliot Lake.

Emergency response team members were involved in a search of the park over the weekend.

Investigators have not released any details about who found the foot.
