Second woman dies in Vancouver after using ecstasy Add to ...

A second woman has died in Metro Vancouver after taking the drug ecstasy.

Police say a 22-year-old woman had a bad reaction when she took the drug at a house party in Vancouver Sunday morning and was rushed to hospital, where she died.

Police say the woman and several of her friends took the drug willingly but she was the only one who became sick.

On New year's Eve, a 24-year-old woman suffered an ecstasy overdose in Abbotsford and remains in hospital.

The week before that, a 17-year-old girl in Abbotsford died after taking the drug at a sleepover with some friends.

The deaths follow several ecstasy-related deaths in Calgary in recent weeks.The
