The South Shore Regional School Board provides public education in Lunenburg and Queens Counties - 5,250 square kilometres in total. 29 schools encompassing all levels of education are currently part of this school board west of Halifax (though that number changes as schools open and close), and it's projected that enrolment levels will continue to drop over the next five years.
