Police have few leads in the search for suspects after a 30-year-old man was shot to death behind a home on in the city's west end Sunday night.

Neighbours in the area of Jane Street and Trethewey Drive “heard a few bangs” and saw a man get into the rear passenger seat of a vehicle before it sped off around 11:10 p.m., said Detective Sergeant Dan Sheppard. Glenn Lowe died of gunshot wounds behind the house.

Though police have spoken with a few witnesses, they are hoping more people will come forward to aid the investigation. “We want any of Mr. Lowe's friends, acquaintances, anyone that might have worked with him to give us background and we can make a determination,” Det. Sgt. Sheppard said.

The shooting does not appear to be gang-related, he added, but the matter is still under investigation as the hunt for suspects and persons of interest continues.
