A teenager who stabbed four people at random at a Regina mall has been sentenced to 36 months.
The 15-year-old is to spend 20 months in custody and 10 months under supervision
The judge awarded him six months of credit for time already served.
The youth, who cannot be named because of his age, pleaded guilty last month to the stabbings in April at the Cornwall Shopping Centre.
He was charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one count of assault with a weapon.
Crown and defence lawyers wanted the maximum sentence for a youth of three years.
Court heard the teen was angry about breaking up with his girlfriend.
