When Nuzhath Leedham moved into the neighbourhood known as Gerrard India Bazaar in Toronto's East End, it was one of the only business areas for the South Asian community in Ontario. In the early days, the unique nature of the neighbourhood helped it thrive. However, as new ethnic communities blossomed throughout the city, the Bazaar's business suffered. Today, new developments are helping to reshape the area. Located at Gerrard Street East and Coxwell Avenue, Gerrard India Bazaar is one of five neighbourhoods to watch next year.
