Believed to be the first marriage licences issued to gay couples in 2001. Kevin Bourassa (L) and Joe Varnell along with Anne Vautour (second right) and Elaine Vautour kiss as Reverend Brent Hawkes looks on following a wedding ceremony in a Toronto church January 14, 2001.

As The Globe and Mail reported today, government court filings have called into question the legal status of non-Canadian same-sex couples who got married in Canada.

We've received many stories from non-Canadian couples who are now wondering where they stand. If you are in this situation, we want to hear from you.

We also want to see your special days. If you have photos from your Canadian marriage ceremony, please send them to community@globeandmail.com. Please send high-resolution photos, where available, and identify the time, place and people in the photos.
