It was Molson and roots rock for Stephen Harper Friday as he used a late-campaign pause to jam for the cameras with local band Herringbone.

The Conservative Leader invited media to 24 Sussex Friday to show them how he was spending his Good Friday, a national holiday that falls two days before Easter.

Mr. Harper hits the campaign trail again on Saturday.

Asked if he would be heading to church, he shook his head and said "I'm on the road."

Mr. Harper, who plays the piano, stalled on his first attempt at a famous Credence Clearwate Revival tune, "Have You Ever Seen The Rain."

But after a swallow of Molson Canadian, he managed to catch up.

Normally Harper likes Beatles music, but, he told the media "I like Credence too, I like all those bands."
