Liberal Party Leader Michael Ignatieff, left, speaks to the media with candidates Ruby Dhalla and Navdeep Bains beside him during a campaign stop in Brampton, Ont.

Stephen Harper goes up the road, Wednesday, travelling by bus from Riviere du Loup to Fredericton in search of Tory gains. The first stop after a morning announcement in Riviere du Loup is Edmunston, N.B., part of the riding of Madawaska-Restigouche, on which the Tories have designs. Then it's on to Fredericton for yet another rally, before it's wheels-up for St. John's.

Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff's first event Wednesday is at noon local time in Saint John, at a pub. The social event will be followed by his daily announcement and news conference. Then he's off to Yarmouth, N.S., for a rally.

He's also expected to visit Prince Edward Island in the coming days, capping off a week in which he will have visited nine provinces and one territory.

NDP Leader Jack Layton heads to Stoney Point in Essex County near Windsor, Ont., where he will hold a campaign event on a local farm. The New Democrats believe incumbent Conservative Jeff Watson is vulnerable in the riding of Essex and the party already has a foothold in the area with two seats in Windsor.

Later in the afternoon, Mr. Layton will be in Thunder Bay, in Northern Ontario, for a town hall. The New Democrats hold two seats in the city and both of them are being hotly contested by the Liberals.

Bloc Québécois Leader Gilles Duceppe begins the day in Farnham, Que., before moving on to Saint-Hyacinthe, Drummondville and an evening rally in Quebec City.
