Day 15 winner Add to ...

A campaign is made up of days. Some you win. Some you lose. If you win more than you lose, you should win the campaign. This blog will track the winner of the day for the duration. Day 15 winner: NDP Promising to give provinces the power to ban handguns is a pretty smart move by the NDP leader. It avoids a nasty split in his party between rural Western MPs and pushes the issue into the provincial arena. It allows Layton to ally himself with David Miller and Dalton McGuinty in Toronto, where a handgun ban is a big winner. And it helps get him back on track after a nasty slip in the "weeds."
