I have been on the West Coast for the last few days working at the Juno Awards. See, you can be a Conservative and support Canadian culture!

I am just starting to recover from seeing Loverboy sans leather pants and plus 30 years. Who says the rock star lifestyle doesn't catch up to you?

While in B.C. over the weekend I noticed a surprising lack of interest from that region in Earth Hour. It seemed almost to be a non-event. More proof that the economy is the front and center item on peoples' minds. Even the rockstars will tell you that.

Then I came across this Hill Times article when I got back into Ottawa this morning. It seems, not just according the participants of this blog, that Jack Layton and his gang of Dippers are having their troubles. While this is not necessarily great news for the Conservatives, who clip seats off the Liberals when NDP numbers are high, it is most certainly less pleasing to the would-be, in his own mind, prime minister Jack Layton. Loverboy has a better chance of winning comeback artist of the year than Jack does.
