Setting the tone early

Globe and Mail Blog Post

First off, Tim, if you thought my last post was about crime then I think you may want to give it another read, maybe a bit slower this time.

Secondly, as much as I trust the Sun chain and the Tory war room to provide accurate info on the Liberal Party's tour, I think I'm gonna wait a day or two before commenting, fair?

Finally, if you want a debate on the environment, bring it on. You can line up all your cartoon characters, trinkets and bobbles and cackling Tory bloggers on your side and I will defend the Green Shift to the hilt on mine.

You can quote all the environmentalists who support the Tory's regulatory approach...oh, wait.

And you can point me to all the economists who think it is the most economically efficient way to lower....damn.

Or heck, Tim, you could even release your much vaunted, never seen regulations  - you know, the ones that will cost precisely 0.4% of GDP by 2020 but that nobody credible has seen or reviewed and that despite costing precisely 0.4% of GDP, will cost actual Canadians and Canadian businesses nothing. Just a peak, Tim?

Or I guess we could just take John Baird's word for it.

But if you are going to talk about the future of the Canadian environment or the economy, do it in a serious way, not like a laughing school-boy who just heard a naughty joke.
