Mr. Dion's twilight-zone moment in his press conference announcing his intentions was to blame a large part of his loss on nasty Conservative advertising. When will a senior Liberal look in the mirror and accept responsibility and accept that there is more at play?
Last time it was the sponsorship scandal. This time it is advertising. This almost borders on delusional.
I don't want to take anything away from Mr. Dion, who has been a great servant of Canada. But his party and its leadership team need the smelling salts. The trend line for the Liberals since the 2000 election has been downwards. It is not the result of periodic incidents. It is deeper and structural.Report Typo/Error
