Jack, you know this is Newfoundland, right? Add to ...

Sadly, I don't have much of a life at the moment. So I was sitting at home at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning watching Jack Layton speak in my hometown of St. John's. Jack was on his same old message track about big oil being bad. Uh, Jack, are you aware that a reason the Newfoundland and Labrador economy is growing is because of the oil developments on our Grand Banks? Are you aware that we have more people working in my province directly and indirectly because of that same industry? You say you care about working people. Well, you might want to ask them how many of them pay for their groceries at home. For the life of me, I can't figure out who is more out of touch when it comes to the growth of the Newfoundland and Labrador economy - Jack Layton or Stephane Dion. Oh, I have to change the channel now. Jack is dropping Tommy Douglas' name again. His soap opera acting skills are in full force today.
