As the crazy day creeps to an end in Ottawa, we have seen the PM and Iggy agree to meet tomorrow. The PM gave some more information on a proposed EI reform initiative related to self-employed workers, which was part of a past Conservative election platform. He explained reasonably and rationally that the only way to ensure accelerated stimulus spending is to support the supplementary estimates at the Friday night vote.
Presumably some reasonable people will figure out that both Iggy and the PM are telling the truth about not wanting an election, and then this end of session psycho-drama will pass. The bird will then be flipped to those who were foolish enough to want to ruin a nation's summer.
