A civil (and devastating) political ad

It’s generally acknowledged that, along with LBJ’s “Daisy Girl,” Ronald Reagan’s “Morning in America” – which used the presidency of Jimmy Carter as its jumping off point – was one of the most successful ads in U.S. political history:

South of the border these days, comparisons are increasingly being drawn between the presidencies of Mr. Carter and Barack Obama – helped in no small measure by interviews surrounding the publication of Mr. Carter’s White House Diaries. Now, into this mix, comes a devastating political ad produced by a conservative group that includes many ex-Reaganites, Citizens for the Republic, which we’ll be hearing a lot about in coming days:
