Is Iggy naive or simply pandering to Québec?

Yesterday, as set out in the post below, Jean Chrétien's former chief of staff, Jean Pelletier, referred to the 1995 Québec referendum as a "war."

In this morning's edition of Le Devoir, interim Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff serves up a quote that will have Mr. Pelletier (and Pierre Trudeau) spinning in their graves:
 
"Bloc MPs are duly elected by Québec voters. They are not traitors, they are not the enemies of Canada."
