Thomas Mulcair

NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair
Thomas Mulcair (born Oct. 24, 1954) is the leader of the Official Opposition and leader of the federal New Democratic Party. He was elected leader after the death of Jack Layton, who led the party to its best ever result in the 2011 election. Before becoming an MP in 2007, Mr. Mulcair was a cabinet minister and lawyer in Quebec.
