The team behind Justin Trudeau's successful campaign for Liberal leadership says in the end, he raked in over $2-million in donations.

An e-mail to supporters says the money came from over 10,500 individual donations and 60 different fundraisers.

All of the candidates have six months to file their final financial reports from the campaign.

The last set of reports filed showed Trudeau raised just under $1.3-million, not including donations still being processed by the party as of last Sunday.

Joyce Murray, who finished second, had raised just $250,000.

By comparison, NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair raised just over $443,000 in his party's leadership race last year.
