After the closing of Vancouver’s popular Stanley Park petting zoo, little Timmy was left wondering what happened to that sweet pygmy goat he so lovingly scratched behind the ears on many a Sunday afternoon. Wary over WiFi
An Ontario teachers’ union is calling on schools to stop installing WiFi over fears it will put the health of students at risk. The group’s stand flies in the face of what health and education officials in Canada have said: that WiFi is safe. Concerned parents may also want to keep their children away from libraries, hotels and Starbucks shops.

The power of social media extends even to a dusty Kenyan village, where a local chief’s tweets have led to thugs being scared off, lost sheep returned to their owners and the rescue of a man who fell into a pit. Is Twitter powerful enough to help promote peace ahead of presidential elections? The chief intends to find out.
