Banking: (Zopa.com) -- Zopa is a website that connects lenders and borrowers in an online "social lending" network.

Best Practices: (Flickr.com) -- Flickr is a popular online photo-sharing site founded by Canadians Caterina Fake and Stewart Butterfield and later acquired by Yahoo. Flickr also won a Webby award for its community.

Political Blog: (Truthdig.com) -- An online magazine devoted to looking behind the days news with opinion and analysis from a progressive perspective.

Cultural Blog: (We Make Money Not Art) -- A site about the intersection between art, design, technology and media.

Broadband: (Blip.tv) -- A video-blogging startup based in New York City.

Charitable Non-Profit: (I Spy With My Little Eye) -- an online campaign based in the Netherlands, aimed at increasing awareness about child poverty and abuse.

Music: (Last.fm) -- Last.fm is an online music community, in which members share their playlists and the service recommends new music based on what other users are listening to.

Health: (ThatGuy.com) -- An online campaign funded by the Department of Defense, aimed at educating young men about the dangers of excessive drinking.

Personal Web Site: (JonathanYuen.com) -- An interactive design portfolio created by Web designer and artist Jonathan Yuen. The site also won awards for Best Use of Animation and Best Visual Design (Aesthetic).
