Bell Canada has introduced a subscription-based fraud protection service that guards consumers against on-line attacks by blocking access to known fraudulent sites.
On-line attacks, commonly referred to as phishing, are designed to abuse personal and financial information, such as passwords and account numbers.
Sympatico's Fraud Protection can be purchased today as part of the Anti-Spyware service for $5.95 per month, or the Security Basic Starter Pack for $10 per month, which includes Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, Firewall and Parental Controls. The service is available to both dial-up and broadband customers, can be installed on up to three computers.
