TrueLocal to launch search engine

TrueLocal, a Canadian local search engine designed as an intelligent business phonebook, has announced it will open Aug. 29.

TrueLocal.ca maintains its own comprehensive list of more than 1.3 million brick and mortar businesses. Users can look for neighbourhood dentists, clothing stores and contractors as well as full text search for such items as golf courses, used car dealer, airport limousine service or cooking school. Users can look for types of businesses, products and even brands.
