London Drugs to sell Vonage VoIP

Globe and Mail Update

VANCOUVER, March 4 — Vonage Canada has announced that London Drugs will sell its flat-rate digital phone service at more than 60 of its stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Starting March 8, consumers and small businesses who have high-speed Internet access can sign up for service by purchasing one of three different Vonage Start-Up kits — the Linksys PAP2 Telephone Adapter, the Linksys RT31P2 Wired Router and the Linksys WRT54GP2 wireless router.

Customers can choose an area code from 14 urban centres in six provinces, including Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax, and from more than 200 area codes in the U.S. Customers can also obtain additional "virtual" numbers from any available area code in Canada, the U.S., Mexico and Britain. Virtual Phone Numbers are inexpensive secondary numbers that ring to the primary Vonage Canada line.
