Electronic Arts' Madden NFL 2006 stormed to the top of the Canadian video game charts in August, according to the latest retail sales survey from the NPD Canada Video Game service.
In fact, all top five titles for August were brand new that month.
Madden NFL 2006 for the Playstation 2 was the top selling video game in Canada in its debut month, followed by Madden for the Xbox. The No. 3 spot went to Nintendo's Pokemon Emerald for the Game Boy Advance, followed by Ubisoft's Ghost Recon Summit Strike for the Xbox and Natsume's Harvest Moon: Another Life for the GameCube.
The No. 6 spot was claimed by the Halo 2 Expansion Pack for Xbox, followed by Nintendogs Dachsund for the Nintendo DS portable game system.
Star Wars: Battlefront for the Playstation 2 console was eighth, and Nintendogs Lab & Friends was ninth.
The tenth spot in August was claimed by Burnout 3: Takedown from Electronic Arts for the Playstation 2.
