Calgary-based Userful Corp. has released DiscoverStation 4.0, its public computing system designed to reduce costs and improving services for institutions offering computer access to the public.
DiscoverStation allows up to 10 people to work from a single high-performance PC. Layered on top of this is a secure desktop environment designed specifically to meet the needs of public computing. Userful says DiscoverStation generates IT time savings up to 80 per cent and average TCO savings of 54 per cent according to library and education customers across North America.
