The Commodore PET lives on

TORONTO, Nov. 23 — The Toronto PET Users' Group, the oldest computer user group in Canada, which supports all of the old Commodore lines of computers, including the old Personal Electronic Transactor (PET), Commodore 64 and the Amiga computers, has announced it is resurrecting the old World of Commodore shows. This show is loosely based on the Commodore shows in the United States and their vintage-computer counterparts.

The World of Commodore will showcase mainly the Commodore 64, and will have old systems, software and books as well as the latest innovations for the 64. Today, the Commodore 64 has the capability to access CD-ROM drives just as easily as it can access the Internet.

The World of Commodore show will be held on Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Belaire Hotel, 240 Belfield Road, Toronto.

Guest speakers will. include Jim Butterfield, Ron Anderson of Commodore Canada and a representative from Commodore World/Tulip.

Vendors will include Centsible Software, JP PBM Products by Mail, the Modernity Group

and the Toronto PET User's Group.
