In June, 2009, four bodies were found in a submerged car near Kingston. Zainab Shafia, Sahar Shafia and Geeti Shafia were young women, all sisters; the fourth victim, Rona Amir Mohammad, was their father's first wife. Their father, brother and biological mother were accused of plotting and executing their deaths to cleanse the family's reputation. Since then, the Shafias' dynamics have captivated the country in a murder trial probing the concept of honour.
