A Toronto man has been charged with sexual-related offences for allegedly luring a 12-year-old girl by pretending to be teenage pop star Justin Bieber.

Toronto police say the man repeatedly threatened the victim into performing sexual acts on her webcam. When she broke off communication, the suspect told the young girl he posted videos of her to a pornographic website.

The suspect had been using fake Facebook profiles under the names of Lee ONeel, Justy.beber1 and Yodayoda001. Police believe that the accused has had online contact with other children.

Toronto police were tipped off by a U.S. law enforcement group, and made the arrest Wednesday while the man allegedly tried to meet an officer pretending to be a 14-year-old child in the city.

The 34-year-old suspect is charged with three counts of luring a child under 16, invitation to sexual touching, extortion, attempted exposure as well as making and possessing child pornography.
