Body found in Toronto park after residents hear gunshot Add to ...

Toronto Police have cordoned off a city park after a body was found there early today.

Police say they received a report of a gunshot around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday morning in mid-town Toronto.

About 15 minutes after police arrived on the scene, the body of what's believed to be a man was found in Oriole Park.

Emergency crews worked on the man for at least a half-hour, but didn't take him to hospital.

The coroner is going to the scene today and police have cordoned off the entire park.
