Peel police say an autopsy has confirmed that a body found in a pond in Palgrave is that of a missing Brampton woman.

Police say Raquel Junio, 42, was taken from her home on Aug. 18.

Her body was discovered in the pond two days later.

Two men are facing charges in Ms. Junio's death and are scheduled to appear in Brampton court on Wednesday.

Her estranged husband, Macdermid Ermacora, 43, and another Brampton man are both charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement and assault.

Homicide officers are continuing the investigation and say they anticipate further charges will be laid.
