A three-year-old boy has died after being pulled from a pool in north Toronto.

The incident happened at a condo near Don Mills Road and Lawrence Avenue East on Saturday afternoon.

Police say several children were in the pool, with the mother of the victim supervising.

When the mother went to the bathroom, her three-year-old son got into the pool without a flotation device.

Police say the boy had been under water for about three minutes before he was pulled out.

Officers performed CPR when they arrived, but the boy was later pronounced dead in hospital.
